Four charged in Shannon armed robbery

SHANNON, Miss. (WTVA) - Four men remain behind bars after being charged for armed robbery of a grocery store in Shannon.

Chavis J. Dillworth, 17, Jarquaveues Smith, 17, Rakeem Bogan, 18, and Bobby Sanders Jr.,18, have all been charged with armed robbery of the Dollar General store, located on Broad Street.

Authorities said the store was robbed Thursday shortly before 10 p.m.

Assistant Chief Tracy Barnett said two of the males wore ski masks and ordered two employees at gunpoint to empty the store's safe.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Barnett said most of the money has been recovered by authorities.

Bond will be set Tuesday.
