NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) -- Union County authorities have charged a former teacher at Myrtle Attendance Center with inappropriate contact with a minor.

Sheriff Jimmy Edwards tells WTVA.com Adam Coleman, 29, was arrested Tuesday night and charged with two counts of touching a child for lustful purposes and one count of enticement of a child.

Edwards says the three minors are between the ages of 14 and 18.

He says Coleman taught Algebra and was an assistant baseball coach at the school, but has resigned.

Coleman is currently being held in the Union County Jail on a $115,000 bond.

Edwards say the case will be presented to the next grand jury which meets in April.
