BROOKSVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- Brooksville police have filed charges of embezzlement against a former member of the force.

Chief Reginald Adams says a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Chris Taylor of Columbus.

He says Taylor was terminated from his position with the Brooksville Police Department three months ago for conduct unbecoming an officer.

Adams say Taylor has refused requests to return equipment that belongs to the department.

He says the equipment includes a bulletproof vest, uniform, and a Brooksville police chief badge Taylor used while serving as interim chief in the Noxubee County town.
