JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -- The National Weather Service has posted winter weather advisories for four counties in Mississippi's Delta region.

Forecasters are warning that ice could develop in Bolivar, Leflore, Sunflower and Washington counties starting in the early morning hours of Monday and continuing until about noon.

They say sleet will mix with rain, with some patches of freezing rain also possible. The icy mix is expected to switch back over to rain Monday afternoon as temperatures climb again.

Some sleet could accumulate, especially on elevated bridges and roadways, forecasters say, possibly making for slippery driving.

Forecasters say ice and snow could also affect neighboring areas of north Louisiana and Arkansas.
