GUNTOWN, Miss. (WTVA) — Firefighters from multiple Lee County fire departments were called Sunday morning to put out a fire inside the Norbord plant near Guntown.

They received the call before 5 a.m. to go to the plant on Highway 145.  The plant produces pressed board.

The fire is only being described as a structure fire.  No smoke or flames could be seen from the highway late Sunday morning although firefighters were still coming through the plant entrance.

The Guntown Volunteer Fire Department says the fire is under control and adds that no one was hurt.

Firefighters from the Pratts Friendship, Guntown, Cedar Hill, Southeast Baldwyn, Saltillo, Birmingham Ridge, Mooreville, Palmetto-Old Union, Richmond, Unity Fellowship and Verona fire departments responded.
