BALDWYN, Miss. (WTVA)-- Some very smart elementary school students celebrated their scores from the 2012 MCT tests.

Students at Baldwyn Elementary and their teachers held a pep rally Friday afternoon.

Their school was awarded a "B" from last year's testing.

Several speakers talked to the students about never giving up on their goals.

The assistant superintendent says the students' hard work did more for the school than they know.

"Today is a special day for our students here because it gives an opportunity to recognize our students for the goals and success they had last year that enabled us to have a successful school year," Baldwyn School District Assistant Superintendent Jason McKay said.

The students who scored well on the tests were given gift certificates for all of their hard work.
