IUKA, Miss. (WTVA)-- Two people were killed and another injured Saturday just before noon in Iuka.

Coroner Mack Wilemon says Harris Strickland of Corinth, 67, was attempting to make a left hand turn onto Quitman Street off of MS 25 when his 2000 Buick was struck in the passenger side by a northbound pick-up truck.

Wilemon says the truck failed to stop at the four way stop.

The Strickland vehicle was struck in the intersection.

Also killed was 62-year-old-Wanda Strickland.

The couples grandson who was a backseat occupant was injured and flown from the scene by helicopter to an unknown hospital.

The driver of the pick up truck was taken to the Iuka Hospital and released later this afternoon.
