ABERDEEN, Miss. (WTVA) -- Three men face charges after a dispute over a dog turned violent.

Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says Spenceshea Hampton, 20, Paul Woods, 44, and Bradley Woods, 19, are accused of assaulting the man at a home on Highway 8 East on December 7.

Authorities say three went to the home because they felt the man had a dog that belonged to the Woods.

The homeowner was severely beaten and taken to a hospital by ambulance for treatment.

The Woods were arrested Friday and have been released on bond.

Hampton was arrested Tuesday morning and remains in the Monroe County jail.
