TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- It looks a lot easier than it really is.

Have you ever tried to play disc golf?

Players take what looks like a Frisbee and aim for a metal basket.

It's anything but easy.

That fact was evident during a tournament held at Veterans Park in Tupelo Saturday, August 17.

Competitors braved the heat to spin their discs as far a possible with one goal in mind-victory.

"This is long and this is really hot. It's the same shot a lot, but it's a really challenging course because of the distance," competitor Justin Norris said.

More than 200 people from 13 states descended upon Tupelo in hopes of taking the top spot.
