NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) —For the third year in a row, ew Albany's Union County Heritage Museum is hosting an exhibit featuring all types of Christmas trees.
Forty trees of different shapes and sizes are decorated with a certain theme connected to each tree.
Members of area garden clubs along with museum staff decorated Christmas trees with themes ranging from Della Robbia, folk art, a retro tree and two trees featuring glass orbs with photos inside of various landmarks of New Albany.
One tree is decorated with the names of all the soldiers from Union County who have died while serving their country from World War I to present time.
"This is a new one for us this year — the Patriotic Tree has the names of 96 soldiers who died in the course of freedom, and we wanted to honor them," added Jill Smith, executive director of the Union County Heritage Museum.
The Christmas Trees of Enchantment exhibit will be on display through Christmas.
On December 8, the museum is hosting its annual Christmas Coffee from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with Santa Claus expected to visit with children.
