JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Lowndes County man has lost his attempt to have his conviction on sale of cocaine charges overturned.

Freddie Webber, 41, is serving 30 years in prison after a jury found him guilty during a trial in September of 2011.

Webber claims a video tape of a drug transaction presented in court should have been excluded because it contained evidence of "previous bad facts".

He also claims the evidence didn't support a conviction and the judge should have allowed a cautionary instruction to the jury because of the testimony of a confidential informant.

The Mississippi Supreme Court on Thursday denied his claims.
