Court hearing Monday for Okolona police officer

OKOLONA, Miss. (WTVA) - A trial wlll be held Monday for an Okolona police offcer charged with DUI-other substance by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

A judge will hear the case against Ramonia Robertson at 9 a.m. in Chickasaw County Circuit Court.

Robertson, the assistant police chief in Okolona, was stopped December 7 on Highway 32 in the Van Vleet Community.

During a probable cause hearing earlier this year, a judge ruled there was sufficient evidence to let the case go to trial.

Additional charges in the case include misdemeanor possession of a controlled subtance (hydrocodone), speeding and failure to comply.
