JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) _ The Mississippi Supreme Court will not review the conviction of a man in a Lowndes County drug case.
Major Lee, Jr., 35, was convicted of possession of cocaine in June of 2010 and sentenced to 16 years as a habitual offender.
He was also ordered to pay a $100,000 fine.
Lee asked the appellate court to throw out the conviction because the judge was wrong not to suppress evidence presented during the trial, evidence at trial didn't support the conviction, and he should have been granted a new trial.
The Mississippi Court of Appeals rejected his arguments in January.
