CORINTH, Miss. (AP) -- Ceremonies commemorating Confederate Memorial Day are planned on Sunday at the Corinth Civil War Intrepretive Center.
The Daily Corinthian reports the two-part program will begin at 2 p.m. in the center's auditorium with a keynote address by E. Curt Fields portraying Union Gen. Ulysses S. Grant.
Lost Cause: A Confederate String Band -- a local troupe of musicians -- will perform.
The second half of the program will move outside and will include a wreath-laying at the grave of Col. William P. Rogers, a Confederate hero of the Battle of Corinth.
