CORINTH, Miss. (WTVA) — Voters in Corinth have overwhelmingly approved legalizing liquor sales.

Unofficial results from Tuesday's referendum show 2,641 people, or 70 percent, voted for the legalization while 1,150, or 30 percent, voted against it.

Selling beer was already legal in the city.

City officials must now decide whether to allow liquor sales just in restaurants or in package stores as well.
