NORWICH, VT. (WTVA) -- King Arthur Flour has initiated a voluntary recall of a limited number of its bags of flour due to the possible presence of small blue polyurethane balls.
The balls are about half the size of a dime and are used during the sifting process at the plant.
Company officials say they have a smooth surface and no sharp edges and are made from food grade material.
Because of their bright blue color and size, they are easily seen in the flour.
Only 5-lb. bags of King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour and King Arthur Unbleached Bread Flour that have the following Best Used By Date and Lot Codes noted below are affected.
King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour, 5-lb. bag, UPC 0-71012-01050-9 With the combination of both the Best Used By Date plus Lot Code beneath nutrition facts panel
