COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Columbus man has pleaded guilty to sexual battery and robbery involving an incident at a laundromat in the city last year.
Myron Sewell, 24, entered guilty pleas to the charges during a hearing Tuesday in Lowndes County Circuit Court.
Sewell was arrested following an investigation into a reported sexual assault at the Double S Laundromat in January of 2012.
Investigators say Sewell had an orange shirt over his face when he approached a woman and pointed a gun at her demanding money.
He then dragged the woman into a restroom where he physically and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint.
Sewell was sentenced to serve 30 years in prison for sexual battery and 30 years for robbery, both sentences to run concurrently.
The sexual battery sentence will be without the possibility of parole.
He must also serve five years probation when released.
