TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- Tupelo city leaders are expected to approve the issues of bonds for various projects during their Tuesday night meeting.

The city will issue up to $6,000,000 in general obligation bonds in 2013.

Councilman Jonny Davis says a majority of the funds will be dedicated to the Tupelo Aquatic Center.

He says the funds will also be used for several other projects, including work underway at Gumtree Park.

The bonds are part of a five-year $32,000,000 plan to fund capital improvement projects in the city.
