WASHINGTON (WTVA) -- AdvancePierre Foods is recalling frozen, fully cooked country fried steak products because they may contain pieces of plastic.
The U. S. Department of Agriculture says the recall includes 22.75 ounces pouches and 8.5 pound cases of Fast Classic Country Fried Steaks.
The affected products were produced on December 21, 2012 and have the establishment number EST. 2260Y in the USDA mark
of inspection on the front of the package and a best by date of March 21, 2014 stamped on a label on the back of the package.
The case code is 1523560202.
The products were distributed in Alabama, Mississippi and several other states.
The recall was issued after two customers said they were injured while eating the product.
