OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Texas man will face charges of aggravated DUI for a traffic accident last month in Oxford that claimed the lives of a brother and sister.
Oxford Police Chief Mike Martin says an arrest warrant has been issued for John Howard Strickland, 21, of San Antonio.
He faces charges in an October 27 traffic accident on Highway 278 that claimed the lives of John, 30, and Sarah Wheat, 24.
The accident happened around 11 a.m. near the Highway 7 interchange.
Investigators obtained a search warrant to draw blood following the accident.
After an analysis at the Mississippi State Crime Lab, investigators moved to file charges in the accident.
Martin says Strickland will turn himself into authorities on Wednesday.
