WINSTON CO., Miss. (WTVA) -- One man is dead, involved in a single vehicle crash on New Year's day.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Derian D. Dotson, 32, was traveling on Highway 397 near Macedonia Road in Winston County around 3:00p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators say Dotson was driving a 2010 Chevy Impala, when he ran off the road and hit a tree.
Authorities say the Louisville native was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
