TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) --There's a tradition at Carver Elementary School and it goes back about 13 years.
Thursday, the school continued the tradition known as the "Barn Dance" where students hear a story and get to dance to a variety of tunes.
It's part of Red Ribbon Week and kids learn about stomping out drugs.
"Our theme for today is 'give drugs the boot.' So, we've been learning about folk dance and different kinds of dances. So, the barn dances kind of incorporating the theme of give drugs the boot," said teacher Sherry Rial.
As a special treat, parents and grandparents took the floor with the kids for some line dancing.
