Calhoun County man indicted for making bomb threat

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Bruce man has been indicted for making a bomb threat earlier this year.

A Lafayette County Grand Jury handed down the indictment against Matthew Allen, 30.

Allen is accused of reporting an explosive device had been placed under a car belonging to Jacob Allen on July 14.

The car was parked at the Malco Theater in Oxford.

Matthew Allen is charged with making a false report of placing explosives.

If convicted, the offense carries up to five years in prison and up to $5,000 in fines.
