OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - Officials with the Trim Cane Water Association have extended a boil water notice for customers indefinately.

This morning, the association received calls of customers without water, and a check showed a broken water main.

The association is also undergoing a major renovation and construction project.

The boil water notice issued earlier was due to a line broken by a crew installing new water lines.

Officials say the boil notice will remain in effect until the work is completed.

Residents are reminded to bring water to a rollling boil for 1 minute before consuming it.

The areas affected in Oktibbeha County include the Bell Schoolhouse area.
