OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Mississippi State Department of Health has issued a boil water notice for two water associations in Lafayette County.

The University of Mississippi Oxford Campus was placed under a boil water notice after testing showed the presence of total coliform bacteria in the drinking water.

The notice includes all campus buildings and athletic facilities.

The Harmontown Water Association issued a notice for customers on County 519 and County Road 524 after breaks in the water line caused of loss of pressure to the area.

People affected by both boil water notices are advised to boil their water for one minute before drinking.
