TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- Around the country, people are lining up early to hit the sales at popular stores.

Black Friday is known for two things: deals and dedicated shoppers.

"We're planning on shopping pretty much all night, catch these deals and save some money," said Brian Dejean, while waiting outside Sears.

Saving money and getting ahead of the rush was a common theme among those waiting outside of various stores.

"We come out here to get on these savings out here, if we can save a little money during Christmas, we wanna do what we can to save a little bit down the road," said Glen McDonald.

Lines of shoppers wound around various store fronts, some ranging from just a few shoppers to hundreds.

But what time did these people get in line?

"Since I've gotten here, [the line's] already gotten to the back of the building," said Chanders Samples outside of Best Buy.

"We got here actually at three o'clock," said Dejean.

Various stores are offering exciting deals on electronics; one shopper was waiting in line to get a laptop.

This shopper was different then most; being from Switzerland, this was his first Black Friday experience.

"No I've never seen anything like this before, I'm very excited to see what's going here, it's incredible what's going on here," said Raphael Schmid.

If Thursday's crowds were any indication, there will usually be plenty of people ready to shop for those good deals.
