WASHINGTON (WTVA) --  BBU, Inc. has initiated a voluntary recall of fresh bagles due to possible presence of fragments of metal caused by a faulty manufacturing part.

BBU is the parent company of Bimbo Bakeries and says the recall affects some packages of Thomas, Sara Lee, Publix, and Weight Watchers brand bagels.

The affected products have "Best Buy" labels from "JAN 18" through "JAN 27" found on the lock tab bag closures.

The affected products were shipped to several states including Mississippi and Alabama.

Officials say they have not received any complaints or reported injuries.

Consumers who have purchased the product can return the product to its place of purchase for a full refund.

Consumers with questions may contact the company at 1-800-984-0989 at any time 24 hours a day.
