LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) -- Residents looking for a deal this weekend might want to try the Spring Lee County Agri-Center Auction.

The two-day event kicks off Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. with thousands of items up for bid.

The auction includes items taken from drug dealers, bank repossessions and surplus vehicles from the city.

"We get their stuff when they seize the [drug] cars," said auctioneer Dalton Christian. "There will be several surplus vehicles from the city of Tupelo, police cars from the sheriff department, bank [repossessions]. [Plus,] individuals can bring their [cars] in if they want to sell it."

Once the auction begins, organizers said it's non stop.  Christian said every minute something is sold.

"If it's your first time, we've got the ring men out here to help catch the bids. [Newcomers] will need to get with one of them and they will give them directions on how to bid and understand the auctioneer because it's fast," said Christian.

It's cash and carry only. All deals are final once the auctioneer ends the bidding.
