Argonauts win the 100th Grey Cup

TORONTO, Ont., Canada (WTVA/CFL) - Ricky Ray threw two touchdown passes, while Chad Kackert ran wild as the Toronto Argonauts claimed a 35-22 victory over the Calgary Stampeders to win the 100th Grey Cup at the Rogers Centre.

Kackert, who finished with 195 all-purpose yards on 28 touches was named the game's Most Valuable Player.

Former Tupelo High School quarterback Jarious Jackson attempted one pass in the game, completing a 1-yard touchdown pass to extend the Argo lead to 24-6.

Jackson played high school football for the Golden Wave before playing college football at Notre Dame from 1996-1999. The Grey Cup Championship is the second of Jackson's CFL career. He previously won the 2006 Grey Cup as a member of the BC Lions.

As the backup to starting quarterback Ricky Ray, Jackson completed 72 of 135 passes in 2012, throwing for 846 yards and 4 touchdowns while also throwing 3 interceptions.

The 2012 championship is the 16th Grey Cup title for the Argonaut franchise.
