ECRU, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Pontotoc County Animal Rescue and Shelter put on a softball tournament Saturday to raise money for a new building and land fund for the organization.
The tournament featured eight teams who all paid $120 apiece to participate.
Money from tournament concessions also went to the cause, as all proceeds are going to help the animals of Pontotoc County.
"Well you know, right now our biggest thing is finding land and a facility. We've got the pets and we're keeping them in foster homes. But we need a place to keep them so the public can come and view them," said Katie Jackson of the Pontotoc County Animal Rescue and Shelter.
