WASHINGTON, D.C (WTVA) – Congressman Alan Nunnelee (R-Miss.) has been appointed to the House Budget Committee.
Nunnelee will begin work to craft a budget House leaders say will get spending under control and grow the economy.
Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) says Congressman Nunnelee is an effective voice for conservative principles.
Congressman Nunnelee was also named as Vice Chairman of the Energy and Water Appropriations Subcommittee on Friday.
He will also continue to serve on the Agriculture and Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Subcommittees.
