MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WTVA) -- Twenty-four bridge projects in Marion and Pickens County are among the latest to receive funding from the state of Alabama.
Gov. Robert Bentley announced the projects are among 250 statewide to be included in the Rural Assistance Match Program.
The funding is provided to counties who can't fund a 20 percent match for projects through the Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program.
In some cases, no local funding is required to receive the RAMP funds.
In Marion County, the projects include:
Bridge on County Road 9 over Barnsville Creek
Bridge on County Road 11 over Boardtree Creek
Bridge on Grandview Drive in the city of Hamilton
Bridge on Apple Avenue in the city of Winfield
In Pickens County, the projects include:
Bridge on Coleman Road over Hodge Branch
Bridge on Washington Road over Snake Creek
Bridge on Bains Road over Little Magby Creek
Bridge on Moorehead Rd over Moorehead's Cattle Pass
Bridge on County Road 38 (Hickman) over Bear Creek
Bridge on County Road 40 (Bonner Mill) over Blubber Creek
Bridge on Double Branch Road over Bear Creek
Bridge on Double Branch Road over Bear Creek Branch
Bridge on County Road 192 (Bradford Road) over Beaver Creek
Bridge on County 26 over Coalfire Creek
