MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WTVA) -- Eleven pieces of farm equipment stolen from Mississippi, Tennessee and four other states were recently recovered by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Agricultural & Rural Crime Unit (ARCU).
ARCU says the value of the stolen equipment totaled to nearly $490,000.
Agents say Jody Morgan, 53, and Steven Ray Parker, 38, both of Albertville, Alabama, were arrested for receiving the stolen property.
Morgan and Parker were taken into custody at the Etowah County Detention Center and have additional charges pending in Marshall County.
Authorities say Parker has since been released on bond. However, Morgan remains in custody in Etowah County.
