TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA)--A non-profit agency based in Tupelo celebrated adoption Thursday night.
That was the theme for the annual community event to raise funds for New Beginnings Adoption Agency.
The agency works with families around the world; mostly placing newborns domestically.
The agency honored the Clinic for Women OB/GYN Associates for serving clients over the years.
Even though families are facing tough economic families, organizers say adoption is still possible through different avenues.
"There's a federal and state tax credit. And also, we've partnerned with Americans Christain Credit Union out of California and they offer low-interest adoption loans," said Debbie Velie of New Beginnings.
Christain recording artist Mark Schultz was adopted and he performed a song he dedicated to his birth mother.
