TUPELO, Miss (WTVA)--There are so many untold stories of survival from the tornado.

Some say they are lucky and others say it's a miracle they were not injured or even dead.

One of those remarkable stories is from Richard McClunney of Tupelo.

McClunney says he was driving down Gloster Street over a bridge when the weather changed dramatically.

All of a sudden he says it started raining and then it turned to hail.  Richard says he picked-up speed and looked for a safe place to take cover.

McClunney says God told him to pull into a gas station near a brick wall and that's when terror struck.

"I pulled in, and buckled in, and ducked down below my dashboard. The tornado sucked me out from the gas station and flipped my car three times, and landed on the passenger side. It was rough. All of my windows exploded at once. It was crazy," said McClunney.

McClunney says he climbed out of the driver's side window and another motorist was able to pick him up. He was not injured but says he gets anxious talking about his ordeal.
