JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) — State and local law enforcement uncovered more than $646,000 in cash during a traffic stop Monday in Ecru.
The Mississippi Department of Transportation said the plastic wrapped money was found in a duffle bag during the search of a car hauler on Highway 15.
The driver of the car hauler was released. No one has been arrested yet.
An effort is being made by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics to figure out where the cash came from and where it was going.
