TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Super Bowl is now just two days away filled with new commercials, celebrities and of course two of the best teams battling for the title.

We also know parties and the social atmosphere of the game is a big part of this weekend.

Super Bowl weekend is officially underway. Even though the game is over 500 miles from north Mississippi local businesses are still reaping the benefits of the big game.

"Leading up to the Super Bowl is a pretty big deal for us. As you can see we're about sold out of everything behind us," said Party Works manager Amy Britt.

Britt says the Super Bowl is unlike any other party event they prep for because most merchandise doesn't come in until the week of, but that's not stopping customers from buying.

"It's pretty tight and when we get it in it's usually gone by the end of the week," she added.

Meanwhile Buffalo Wild Wings is anticipating a huge crowd like the ones they're experiencing in Tupelo since opening two weeks ago.

"It's going to be crazy," said Buffalo Wild Wings general manager Jay Osgood.

"It's going to be busy early in the day to find their place. We won't be able to take reservations for seating on that day because it's going to be very full. It's kind of first come, first serve on that day.

Osgood expects to see the tables and bar slammed with customers, but believes the brunt of their business will be in the to go line.

"It's going to be huge," Osgood added. "People like to have parties for Super Bowl Sunday and we'll have all of that available for them."

"We have a system set-up so people can come in and get their wings and take them to their own party. We expect that to be a lot of business for us this Sunday."

If you're still trying to plan for a party or just figure out where you want to go, here's a couple tips on what items are going fast and maybe when you should arrive.

"The top selling items are going to be the team plates, napkins. Everybody is wanting those and the balloons of course," Britt said.

"If you're coming in you might want to come in a little early to this restaurant because I think people are going to come in, find their place and enjoy the game," Osgood said.
