SHANNON, Miss. (WTVA) -- An 18-wheeler travelling north bound on Highway 45 flipped over onto its side after encountering strong winds.
The truck was loaded with furniture.
Traffic was shut-down in both lanes until emergency crews arrived on scene.
Police and fire departments from Shannon and Verona, the Mississippi Highway Patrol, and MDOT worked the wreck and got one lane of north bound traffic to re-open around 2 p.m. Monday.
Authorities tell WTVA.com the driver of truck suffered no major injuries.
