NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) — New Albany Police are investigating the death of two people found at a home in the city.
Chief Chris Robertson said they received a call from residents around three o'clock Sunday afternoon saying they were concerned for the welfare of their next door neighbors because they hadn't seen them in a few days.
When police arrived, officers found a door to the home open and found the body of a man and woman inside on East Shady Lane.
Police believe they are the owners of the home.
Robertson said they're not sure how they died, but he added they're not ruling anything out, including foul play.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the Union County Sheriff's Office were called in to assist.
Coroner Pam Bowman is making preparations to send the bodies to Jackson for an autopsy.
Robertson won't release the names at this time.
