SHERMAN, Miss. (WTVA) -- A traffic stop in the town of Sherman ended with the arrest of three people on drug charges.
Sherman Police Chief Joel Spellins tells WTVA.com offcers made the stop on Highway 178 in the city.
During a search of the vehicle, officers uncovered heroin and took the people into custody.
The driver of the car, Mary Elizabeth Adams, 32, of Tupelo, is charged with DUI-other and possession of a controlled substance.
Allen Lawson, 48, and Paul William Christian, 58, of Tupelo also face charges of possesion of a controlled substance.
Spellins says Lawson is on house arrest on prior drug charges in Lee County.
