BLUE SPRINGS, Miss. (WTVA) _ Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Mississippi, Inc. opened its second shift Monday.
The plant in Blue Springs is beginning to ramp up production at the plant that opened last fall.
Approximately 2,000 people are employed by TMMMS.
The plant is manufacturing the Corolla and has a maximum production capacity of 150,000 cars each year.
