COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- The shoplifting arrest of a Columbus man has lead a bail bond company to ask officials to repay them the money put up to bond him out of jail on previous burglary and larceny charges.
Jaired Charles Proctor, 24, of Highway 45 North was arrested by Columbus police for felony shoplifting at Walmart Tuesday.
He was also wanted on a warrant for possesion of stolen property.
Proctor was being held in the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center on a $5,000 bond on the latest arrest.
He was already free on a $15,000 bond on charges of burglary and larceny of a dwelling and grand larceny.
The bonding agent asked the county to return their money on those charges.
Proctor's bond is now set at $20,000.
