TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- One Tupelo school was placed on a partial lockdown Wednesday morning after a call to police about a man with a gun nearby.
Tupelo Police Chief Bart Aguirre says police responded to a call around 9 a.m. at the Main Street and Blair Street intersections.
Officers conducted a search in the area, but were unable to locate anyone.
Milam School officials locked the exterior doors to the building, but students continued to operate a normal schedule while the partial lockdown was in place.
The lockdown ended at 9:45 a.m.
