TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- Tupelo Police say a boy pulled from the lake at Veteran's Memorial Park on Friday died Saturday from his injuries.
Captain Tim Tate identified the boy as 7-year-old Chance Nobles.
Tate told WTVA.com, local authorities were notified Saturday by the medical examiner's office in Memphis that Nobles had passed away.
The boy was transferred to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital following the incident.
According to Tate, Nobles was found unresponsive when emergency responders arrived on the scene Friday afternoon.
