TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) — Two volunteers for the Chris McDaniel campaign are going through ballots at the Lee County Justice Center.
Those ballots were cast during the June 24 Republican primary runoff for U.S. Senate.
They started reviewing ballots Monday and plan to be through Wednesday.
The effort is being done in every Mississippi county to see if there was voter fraud.
The McDaniel campaign says it plans to challenge the election as soon as those ballots are reviewed.
Certified results from the state GOP show incumbent Thad Cochran won the runoff by 7,667 votes.
