EUPORA, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Webster County man has been sentenced to prison for failure to pay child support.
Attorney General Jim Hood says James Scott Jones, 42, of Eupora pleaded guilty to felony charges of non-support of a child in Lowndes County Circuit Court on Friday.
Jones was sentenced to serve 75 days in jail, and four years and 10 months on supervised probation.
Once released from jail, Jones will have his paycheck garnished $250 a month until the $25,000 is paid in full.
He was also told he would have to keep up his regular child support payments during that time as well.
