COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Columbus man remains behind bars following the robbery of a bank Friday afternoon.
Authorities say Jackie Daniel Jennings, 56, entered the Cadence Bank on Main Street around 2:45 p.m. and handed the teller a note.
The teller complied and handed over money to Jennings.
An alert system had notified police about the robbery and Jennings was arrested outside the bank.
Columbus police have charged him with armed robbery.
He is being held in the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center on a $35,000 bond.
