AMORY, Miss. (WTVA) -- Amory Police and North Mississippi Narcotics officers say a man is behind bars, after being found with 15 grams of methamphetamine (ICE).
Christopher Alexander Nelson, 23, of Amory, is charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell.
The felony bond was set at $20,000 by Monroe County Justice Court Judge Robert Fowlkes.
Officers became aware of a package sent through the mail which contained the controlled substance.
After keeping the package under surveillance, officers arrested Nelson when he picked up the package.
The charge was enhanced due to proximity to a church when the subject was found in possession of the controlled substance.
Nelson is being held in the Amory City Jail.
