OKOLONA, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Mississippi Highway Patrol will charge an Okolona Police Officer with charges related to a traffic stop in December.
An MHP spokesperson say troopers will file paperwork Tuesday or Wednesday against Assistant Police Chief Ramonia Robertson.
Robertson was stopped on December 7, 2012 on Highway 32 near the Van Vleet community.
Officials say she was in uniform and driving a city police vehicle at the time she was stopped.
During a probable cause hearing Monday afternoon, a Chickasaw County circuit judge ruled there was cause to charge Robertson with DUI-Other Substance, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance (hydrocodone), failure to comply, and speeding.
The judge ordered the case to be handled in Chickasaw County Justice Court.
