Former wrestling announcer Corey Maclin dies

SARDIS, Miss. (WTVA) -- Former professional wrestling announcer Corey Maclin died in a traffic accident in Panola County Tuesday night.

A Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesperson tells Maclin, 42, of Memphis was traveling on Interstate 55 near Sardis when the accident happened.

An eyewitness says Maclin was driving north around 10:30 p.m. when he car turned left and veered into the median.

The vehicle flipped several times as it crossed the southbound lanes.

Maclin was the only person in the vehicle.

The accident remains under investigation.
